Message from the President

Dear LMU Community:

It is with great sadness that I tell you of the death of Richard Royce, a longtime multicraftsman with Facilities Management. Richard passed away of an inoperable brain tumor today, at the age of 60.

He was much respected by his colleagues, who referred to him as “Richard the Lion-Hearted” because he had such a big heart. Richard joined LMU in 1984 as a carpenter.  

Funeral arrangements are pending. Richard is survived by a daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren.

Please keep Richard and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
