Julie Schultz
Message from the President

Jan. 26, 2024
Dear LMU Community:
I am saddened to share that Julie Schultz, administrative specialist to the senior vice president for finance and CFO, and to Faculty Housing, passed away from cancer on Jan. 25, 2024, one day shy of her 63rd birthday.
Ms. Schultz joined LMU in May 1996 as an administrative specialist in Finance and was an integral part of the division. In addition to her role in the effective operation of the division, she provided personalized care, assisting faculty members with home loans, rental assistance, or finding rental homes. Her warm personality and welcoming smile – her nickname was “Sunshine”! – made her a beloved member of our community.
Ms. Schultz also served as a liaison for Verbum Dei High School’s Corporate Work Study program, which offers students an opportunity to earn half of the cost of their education through a job-sharing partnership with companies throughout Los Angeles.
Plans to celebrate Ms. Schultz’s life and career are pending and will be shared soon.
Please keep Julie, her husband, Bruce, their children, her colleagues, and her friends in your thoughts and your prayers.
Sincerely,
Timothy Law Snyder, Ph.D.
President
